Privacy Policy
Last updated 7 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Cherra Moments ( “Cherra”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at cherramoments.com and our photo guest-book service (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
Who this covers
Cherra is used by two kinds of people: hosts, who create an event and pay for it, and guests, who scan a QR code at that event and add photos. This policy applies to both.
Information we collect
Account information
When a host creates an account we collect a name and email address, and either a password or, if you choose “Continue with Google”, the basic profile information Google provides (see below). Guests can usually add photos without creating an account.
Event content
We store the photos, captions, and event details that hosts and guests upload so we can display them in the event gallery and on the venue screen. Photos may contain the faces of people at the event.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we receive only a confirmation of payment and limited billing details from Stripe.
Technical information
Like most sites, we automatically receive your IP address, device and browser type, and use cookies or similar technology to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure.
Signing in with Google
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us. We use this only to create and secure your Cherra account and to identify you inside the app. We do not receive your Google password, and we do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.
Cherra’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising.
How we use information
- To provide the Service — create events, accept photo uploads, and show them in galleries and on the venue screen.
- To create and secure accounts and prevent abuse.
- To process payments and send receipts and service emails.
- To respond to support requests.
- To maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With event participants. Photos and captions added to an event are, by design, visible to the host and shown in that event’s gallery and on the venue screen during the event.
- With service providers who run the Service on our behalf: Supabase (database, storage, and authentication), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), and Google (sign-in). They may process your data only to provide their service to us.
- For legal reasons — if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Cherra, our users, or others.
- In a business transfer — if Cherra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Data retention
We keep event content and account information for as long as your account or event is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting, and operational needs. You can ask us to delete your account and its content at any time (see “Your rights”).
Security
We use industry-standard measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you can revoke Google sign-in access from your Google Account permissions page. To make a request, email us at cherra.customerservice@gmail.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Cherra is operated from Singapore, and your information may be processed in Singapore and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service you consent to this processing.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be highlighted in the Service where appropriate.
